VIBRANT RED, GREEN AND YELLOW FRUITS AND VEGETABLES not only look good, they’re great for you. In the spirit of National Nutrition Month in March, the folks at HEB allowed Hill Country Memorial's four registered dietitians to sample fruits in the isle. They include (from left): Kay Steinbring, RD/LD; Kay Wright, LD; Jennifer Jones, MS, RD/LD; and Kim Thornton, RD/LD, CDE.

The team takes a holistic approach to the nutrition of each person, evaluating and assessing how to best assist you in your journey to a greater sense of well-being through food and nutrition-related lifestyle changes.

They provide individualized and personalized nutritional guidance to help each client meet their nutrition-related goals. This may take the form of chronic disease management for obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer or it may be assisting an athlete with intake to enhance performance. Common aspects of nutritional care include food-choice and portion-size decision making, meal and menu planning, education on appropriate cooking techniques, education on food choices for eating out, label-reading education, food intake monitoring and logging, goal setting and provision of accountability.

Call them for a consultation. You'll be glad you did.
