Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program is designed to help
people with coronary disease who have had a heart attack, bypass
surgery, procedures to reopen arteries, heart-related chest pain or
coronary artery disease. Your physician's referral is necessary to
enter the program |

How long does the
program last? |
|
Your cardiac rehab program generally runs 12
weeks with three sessions a week. Each session is about an hour long with classes in risk-factor management scheduled monthly.

Will it work for me? |
|
Most patients return to their usual activities
within a few months after a heart attack or surgery. Cardiac rehabilitation increases fitness
and reduces the risk of new events.

Is the program safe? |
|
A registered nurse with training in Advanced
Cardiac Life Support and cardiac rehab guides you through therapy sessions. Your heart rate
and heart rhythm are monitored during physical activity, and your blood
pressure is taken at least twice a session. Our goal is to help you improve to
the point that you can once again lead a productive, satisfying life.
